Telemundo Las Vegas promotes Saldaña to anchor for noon newscast launch

March 9, 2020 by Veronica Villafañe

Telemundo Las Vegas is launching a half-hour 12 pm weekday newscast. Martha Saldaña will be the show’s anchor.

The station’s midday newscast premieres March 9.

This is a promotion for Saldaña, who has been a news producer at Telemundo Las Vegas since she joined the station in 2016, and a return to the anchor desk.

Saldaña, a native of Cuernavaca, Mexico, previously worked as anchor and senior producer for Noticias Univision Nevada from 2012 to 2016.

Before that, she spent 6 years as news director and anchor at Noticias Univision Notivalle in Palm Springs. She also worked as assignment desk and field producer at KMEX-34 in Los Angeles from 2003 to 2006.

She also worked as an anchor and reporter in 2002 at Univision Santa Barbara.
