Vanessa Hauc is moving to Telemundo network’s weekend anchor desk.
She will take over as anchor of “Noticias Telemundo Fin de Semana,” which airs Saturdays and Sundays at 6:30 pm ET/5:30 pm CT, from Julio Vaqueiro, who held the role since November 2017.
Vaqueiro was tapped to anchor the newly launched Noticias Telemundo late-night weekday newscast airing at 11:35 pm ET/10:35 pm CT, which is currently dedicated to COVID-19 coverage.
For the past three years, Hauc has been a senior correspondent for Noticias Telemundo.
A Peruvian native, she will continue leading the investigative unit on environmental issues at the networks’ news program “Planeta Tierra.”
Hauc joined Telemundo in 2002 as a reporter and co-host of “Al Rojo Vivo con María Celeste.”
