Eric Romero

Romero joins FDP network

December 17, 2020 by Veronica Villafañe 2 Comments

Eric Romero has joined the Fútbol de Primera Radio network team as Senior Director of Network Sales.

It is a newly created role, based out of the company’s Miami corporate office.

His hiring comes as part of FDP’s expansion and anticipation of growth over the next two years, during which the network has secured the exclusive Spanish-language audio rights to the Gold Cup, CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers, The Concacaf Nations League Finals, and the Mexican National Soccer Team. In 2022, FDP will broadcast the 2022 World Cup from Qatar.

Romero will represent FDP’s properties.

Prior to joining the Andres Cantor-Alejandro Gutman-owned company, Romero spent over 17 years in radio sales and marketing. His career spans stints at ESPN Deportes Radio, ABC Radio Networks, and Univision Radio.

Congratulations Eric! It’s been a long time since we last spoke, a little after your mom’s passing… so good to see your success continuing, from youth… till now! 🙂
