KVEA 52 hires Mora as weather anchor

January 25, 2021 by Veronica Villafañe 1 Comment

KVEA 52 has officially named Marcos Mora as its weather anchor.

He’ll be working Noticiero Telemundo 52’s weekend newscasts at 6 and 11 PM.

Telemundo’s Los Angeles station, in the number one Hispanic market, hired Mora, in what is his first staff television job.

He landed at KVEA as an assignment desk intern in January 2019 and started freelancing as a weather anchor months later, in October.

Mora graduated from Cal Sate Fullerton in 2019 with a B.A. in journalism.

    Nothing personal versus Mr. Mora.
But, what happened with seasoned journalists awaiting for such opportunity in a market like City Of Angels?
I was involved in a hiring initiative for NBC and its sister Telemundo once.
I remember you had to carry a Meteorology degree im order to develop such position.
    Has that changed lately?
Anyhow, the best for you Mr. Mora; show us all how is done!
