Ramón Díaz returns to Telemundo as news anchor for WRMD

Ramón Díaz returns to the anchor desk at a Telemundo station.

He joins WRMD Telemundo 49 in Tampa as primetime anchor for the station’s at 6 and 11 pm newscasts.

His on-air debut is Monday, May 17.

He previously spent six years as news and sports anchor at KXTX Telemundo 39 in Dallas until last year, when he lost his job during company nationwide layoffs.

Before that, he worked from 2007 to 2014 as a sports producer and anchor at the now defunct Telemundo Production Center.

His past experience includes roles as a sports anchor at KSTS Telemundo 48 in the San Francisco Bay Area and associate news producer at KVEA Telemundo 52 in Los Angeles.
