Karla Amezola moves to Telemundo’s NY bureau

June 7, 2021 by Veronica Villafañe

Karla Amezola has moved to New York City to become Telemundo network’s correspondent, working out of the company’s Rockefeller Center television studios.

Today is her first day in the new job.

She had been working as a national correspondent at Telemundo’s headquarters in Miami since 2019, covering assignments around the country and at the border. She previously freelanced for the network out of Los Angeles.

Amezola made headlines in 2016 when she sued Estrella TV and then VP of news for sexual harassment.

Her story caught the attention of former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson, who featured Amezola in her sexual harassment documentary “Breaking the Silence.”
