Silvana Effio

Silvana Effio named anchor at KDEN

June 30, 2021 by Veronica Villafañe

Silvana Effio has been named weekday anchor at KDEN Telemundo Denver.

She’ll be co-anchoring the 4, 4:30, 5 and 10 pm newscasts, alongside Yesmani Gómez.

Effio replaces Rosy Zugasti, who anchored weeknights since 2019 and exited the station in December 2020.

Her on-air debut is Monday, July 5.

The move marks Effio’s return to the Telemundo Station Group.

She previously worked at Telemundo Utah, where she helped launch the first Spanish-language newscast in Utah. During her eight years at the station, she was a reporter, producer, anchor and news director. She resigned from her role as news director and anchor in October 2019.
