Raquel Amparo returns to CBS11 as President and GM

Raquel Amparo has been named President and General Manager of CBS News local stations in Dallas-Fort Worth, including KTVT-TV (CBS 11), KTXA-TV (TXA 21), CBSN Dallas-Fort Worth and CBSDFW.com.

She assumes her new role on Monday, September 27.

Amparo returns to CBS11, following a four-year run at Univision Dallas. She joined the Univision O&O as news director in December 2017, was promoted to VP of News and soon after took on the added responsibility of leading regional content for all of Univision’s large-market stations in Texas and Chicago.

She previously spent six years at CBS Dallas, starting as an executive producer and moving up to managing editor before leaving the station.

Before her move to Texas, she worked as a producer For Fox Television and CBS and NBC stations in Miami.
