Univision taps Ysaac Alvarez and Fernanda Kelly to host K-LOVE’s morning show

October 11, 2021 by Veronica Villafañe

Univision L.A.’s K-LOVE 107.5 FM today launched “Levántate Con Ysaac Alvarez,” its new morning drive radio show.

Ysaac Alvarez and Fernanda Kelly host the five-hour daily program, which airs from 5 to 10 am.

Alvarez joined Univision Los Angeles in 2012 and recently hosted KLOVE’s afternoon show.

Kelly, an Emmy Award-winning host and actress, was previously co-host of “Lánzate,” a Univision entertainment show that aired from 2015 to 2017.

The duo replaces popular husband and wife team of Omar Velasco and Argelia Atilano, who hosted “El Show de Omar y Argelia” since 2003 and left the station in September.

Omar and Argelia hosted mornings from July 2003 until September 2021.

When asked about their departure, a company spokesperson issued the following statement:

“After 18 years on KLVE’s airwaves, Omar Velasco and Argelia Atilano have decided to step away from their roles at Univision to pursue other interests and spend more time with their family. We thank them for their passion, dedication and commitment to serving our Latino community and we wish them all the best on this next chapter.”

I have never heard of these people, except the old djs. However, everybody deserves an oportunity. May they bring new vibes and ideas to their program and the listeners!
