Scripps appoints Andrés Chaparro to lead WSFL

April 12, 2022 by Veronica Villafañe

Scripps is moving Andrés Chaparro to its station in Miami.

His new appointment comes barely six months after joining the company’s ABC Texas affiliates KXXV and KRHD as vice president and general manager.

Chaparro will step into his new role of VP and GM at WSFL, the CW affiliate in Miami, effective Monday, May 2.

Prior to Scripps, he spent 8 years at KDEN Telemundo 25 Denver, first as station manager, before getting promoted to president and GM in January 2015.

Chaparro exited Telemundo Denver in January 2019.

He previously held sales manager positions at Telemundo Chicago and Dallas. Chaparro’s past experience also includes jobs at the Entravision-owned Univision affiliate Albuquerque and KUVN Univision 23 in Dallas.
