Telemundo 47 adds meteorologist Florencia Giménez

July 19, 2022 by Veronica Villafañe

WNJU Telemundo 47 is adding meteorologist Florencia Giménez to the New York station’s La Autoridad en El Tiempo team.

She’ll be the new weekend weather anchor and will also support Telemundo 47’s weekday newscasts.

Her on-air debut will be in late July.

Giménez arrives from KTDO Telemundo 48 in El Paso, where she spent three years as a weekday weather anchor.

Her past experience includes roles as a weekend weather anchor at KTAZ Telemundo Arizona, contributor to Telemundo Network’s Al Rojo Vivo and freelance entertainment correspondent for Univision network shows, such as El Gordo y La Flaca, Primer Impacto and Escándalo TV.

A native of Argentina who grew up in Mexico, she landed her first TV job as a morning show host at Televisa Ciudad Juárez in 1997.
