CBS News moves Lilia Luciano to NY bureau

August 31, 2022 by Veronica Villafañe

Correspondent Lilia Luciano is moving east to take on a New York-based role at the network.

Luciano will report for CBS’ Northeast Bureau for all programs and will also contribute to the CBS News Streaming Network.

Luciano joined CBS as a Los Angeles-based correspondent in 2021, after spending a year as a freelancer covering West Coast stories for the network.

Most recently, she reported on the school shooting in Uvalde, as well as immigration, pandemic and wildfires.

Prior to CBS, she was an investigative reporter at KXTV, the ABC affiliate in Sacramento. She has also worked for VICE and spent three years as an NBC News correspondent, reporting in both English and Spanish for several NBC properties as well as Telemundo.

She started her career in broadcasting at Univision in Miami.
