Lucía Burga promoted to executive producer at TelevisaUnivision

Emmy award-winning journalist Lucía Burga has been promoted to executive producer of Noticiero Univision Edición Digital and VIX‘s Noticias Univision 24/7 Daytime show Mediodía.

Burga was previously a correspondent and senior producer for Univision’s digital newscast since 2016.

Burga started at Univision in 1998 as a production assistant for Aquí y Ahora, moving to Noticiero Univisión as an associate producer a year later.

During her 24-year career at Univision, Burga made her way up the ranks, working as lead producer for live news shows, including Despierta América, Aquí y Ahora and the network’s weekday and weekend newscasts.

She also spent four years as a show producer, news correspondent, field producer, newsbriefs anchor and education correspondent for the network.
