Enrique Guillén named chief content officer at Estrella Media

September 14, 2022 by Veronica Villafañe

Enrique Guillén has joined Estrella Media as the company’s chief content officer.

He was most recently a EVP of Commercial Strategy and International Development for the Universal Studio Group at NBCUniversal.

He’ll be based in the company’s Burbank offices and report to CEO Peter Markham.

In his new role, Guillén will oversee the U.S. domestic and global content strategy for Estrella Media’s television, streaming, digital, audio, events, and digital businesses. He’ll also be tasked with developing, producing and acquiring all television and film content, overseeing network and station programming, news, sports, digital content, and studio productions.

Additionally, he’ll be responsible for the international distribution of the company’s content.

During his almost two decades at NBCU, Guillén also worked as VP of Alternative Programming & Operations at Telemundo network and Director of Development and Production at Telemundo Studios.

Guillén started his career as a journalist and investigative producer, covering national and global politics for Univision News.
