Oswald Méndez named CMO at Canela Media

Canela Media has named Oswald Méndez to the newly created position of chief marketing officer.

Méndez will lead all customer-centric strategies and programs to drive Canela Media’s growth through cross-cultural Latino audiences in U.S. and Latin American markets. He’ll also oversee all marketing and publicity for the company.

Méndez was most recently EVP of Marketing at BBC America.

He previously helped launch media brands such as FOX Hispanic Media and the now defunct MundoFox U.S. network, where he was EVP and CMO, responsible for marketing, promotions and advertising.

His past experience includes roles as SVP Lifestyle Entertainment for Fox International Channels, Managing Partner and Director of Integrated Communications at The Vidal Partnership and EVP and Latina America Region Director for Universal McCann.
