Cristina Navarrete named weekend news anchor at Telemundo 47

November 16, 2022 by Veronica Villafañe

Emmy award-winning reporter Cristina Navarrete has been named weekend news anchor at New York’s Telemundo 47.

She had been filling in as weekend anchor since earlier this year, when the station rearranged its news line up and promoted Rosarina Bretón to weekday news anchor.

In addition to her new official anchor role, Navarrete will continue to work as a weekday general assignment reporter.

Navarrete joined Telemundo 47 in 2016. A bilingual journalist, she previously spent two years as a reporter, producer and fill-in anchor for both Telemundo Wisconsin and CBS 58 in Milwaukee.
