Veronika Moroian promoted to President and GM at KMEX

March 8, 2023 by Veronica Villafañe Leave a Comment

Veronika Moroian has been promoted to president and general manager of KMEX-34 Univision Los Angeles.

She’ll be responsible for overseeing the sales, news, community affairs, operations technology, marketing and promotions departments in the Los Angeles region.

Moroian was previously president and general manager for Univision stations in Philadelphia and Washington D.C. Before that, she was station manager at WXTV-41 Univision New York.

Born in Armenia and raised in Argentina, she moved to Los Angeles in 2001, where she joined Univision two years later.

The TV industry veteran started in distribution with affiliate relations, later transitioning to sales as account executive at KMEX. She moved to Chicago, where she worked her up the sales team ladder, becoming WGBO’s VP of Sales in 2012.

Moroian was promoted to VP of national sales, working out of New York in 2014, where she remained for the duration of her next promotion as president and general manager of Univision Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. and station manager for New York, before returning to Los Angeles for her new role.
