Monika Diaz named director of content at ABC10

Monika Diaz has started a new job as as director of content at TEGNA-owned ABC10.

Diaz will oversee the day-to-day operations of the news department. She’s also tasked with helping develop the strategic vision for the Sacramento station’s overall growth.

She was most recently director of content for TEGNA, supporting content initiatives and recruiting for 15 stations across the country.

Diaz previously spent 7 years at Fox affiliate KTXL 40 in Sacramento, joining the station managing editor and working her way up to news director.

Before going into news management, she worked as a reporter at WFAA in Dallas, ABC10 in Sacramento, and KSTS 48 Telemundo in San Francisco Bay Area.
