Veronica Rodríguez named host of Telemundo’s “Zona Mixta”

February 16, 2024 by Veronica Villafañe

Telemundo has named Veronica Rodríguez host of its late-night weekend sports entertainment program “Zona Mixta.”

This marks her return to the show, where she previously served as interim host during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023™.

The sports journalist will also serve as a host of Liga MX’s Chivas de Guadalajara pre- and post-game shows.

In addition to her role on “Zona Mixta,” which airs weekly on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 p.m. ET, she’ll be a key contributor to the network’s coverage of major sporting events in the U.S. and around the world, including the FIFA World Cup and Olympics, the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams, and the Premier League.

During her mover than 15 years of sports broadcasting experience, Rodríguez has covered a variety of sports beyond soccer, including Formula 1, NASCAR, IndyCar, NBA, WWE, and the Olympics.
