Ramon leaves WOAI

Elsa RamonAfter five years as an anchor at WOAI’s News 4 San Antonio, Elsa Ramon is leaving the station.  Her last day will be Friday, December 20.

Elsa is moving back to Los Angeles to follow her husband, who has landed a new job in the city.

“I cannot even describe how bittersweet this is,” Elsa said in a statement. “My husband made a sacrifice for me to come to San Antonio, and now it’s time for me to exercise the give-and-take of marriage and let him follow his dream.”

Before joining WOAI in 2008, Elsa  worked at KABC in Los Angeles, KXAS in Dallas and KSAZ in Phoenix.  She got her start as a production assistant in her hometown of L.A.
