Galavisión rebrands

Galavisión logo evolution: 2012 (top), 1997-2012 (middle), 1984-1997 (bottom).

It really is the year of rebranding networks.  Spanish-language cable network Galavisión today unveiled a new brand identity for its network – the fourth Spanish-language network to do so this year.

The new logo celebrates the Galavisión’s 33rd anniversary on the air, solidifying the connection with its parent company brand by including the endorsed signature of “Una Cadena de Univision” (A Univision Network).

The new brand identity, first revealed yesterday before the start of  its 10 pm comedy program “Los Heroes del Norte,” maintains the familiar “G” mark and orange color palette.

The logo was designed by New York-based PMcD Design, with branding package design created by the in-house Galavisión team led by Joni Fernandez, VP of On-air Promotions and Marketing, and including Creative Director Juan Manuel Garcia, Art Director Luz Maria Cárdenas, and broadcast designers Tanya VanOort  and Rolando Sánchez.

Telemundo, Univision and Azteca América all did brand and logo makeovers in 2012.
