Media Vista Group buys Univision affiliates

MediaVista-Univision-carouselMedia Vista Group, LLC (MVG) has completed the acquisition transaction for 4 Univision Station affiliates in 3 markets: KUKC 48 in Kansas City; WUMN 13 in Minneapolis; and, WLZE 51 and WUVF 2 in Ft Myers/Naples, FL .

The transaction was closed on March 1st in Washington DC, and entitles Media Vista Group to start operating the stations immediately.

The acquisition will expand Media Vista Group’s multi-platform model with local content ownership and other media platforms such as magazine and online.

The Southwest Florida company’s operations D’Latinos Magazine, a Spanish-language lifestyle monthly and www.dlatinos.tv, a Spanish interactive portal. As part of its broadcasting strategy, MVG acquired WANA 16, affiliated with the Azteca America Network, in Fort Myers-Naples market, in 2010. Orlando Rosales is the CEO of MVG, a privately owned company since 2002.
