Paul Stanley added to Univision’s “Despierta América”

April 15, 2014 by Veronica Villafañe

Paul Stanley Despierta America
Paul (with the glasses, second from right) has previously been a guest on “Despierta América.”

He’s not the KISS guitarist, he clearly points out in his Twitter profile.

This Paul Stanley is a Mexican TV host and actor and the newest addition to Univision’s “Despierta América.”

Paul will be co-hosting the morning show alongside Alan Tacher, Johnny Lozada, Ana Patricia, Ximena Cordoba, Karla Martinez, Satcha Pretto and William Valdés.

He’s presumably replacing Raúl González, who resigned in February after 12 years on the show, and joined Telemundo in March.

Paul was most recently host of “Hoy,” an entertainment show on Televisa and has acted in several telenovelas.

He is the son of  former Televisa and TV Azteca personality, Paco Stanley, gunned down in Mexico City in 1999.

Univision today took to Twitter to welcome him, as did Alberto Ciurana, Univision’s President, Programming & Content Univision Networks.

¡Bienvenido a @PAULSTANLEYD a @DespiertaAmeric ! La familia sigue creciendo! pic.twitter.com/sYYhAliNzk
