Estrella TV expands distribution to Washington, D.C. area

June 19, 2014 by Veronica Villafañe

Eestrellatv logostrella TV continues its efforts to expand its reach across the country. Today, the network debuted on Verizon FiOS TV in Maryland, northern Virginia and Washington D.C.

“We are excited to move into the mid-Atlantic region with Verizon FiOS, which has been a big supporter of Estrella TV and the Hispanic community in other markets,” said Winter Horton, COO of LBI Media, Estrella TV’s parent company.

Since its launch as a national network in 2009, Estrella TV has worked hard to increase its reach, adding affiliates and striking agreements with multiple stations in the country to be carried on their digital TV subchannels.

According to the company, it now covers almost 80% of Hispanic TV households in the U.S.
