The Daily Rundown With José Díaz-Balart debuts on MSNBC

November 14, 2014 by Veronica Villafañe

José Díaz Balart is expanding his role at MSNBC with a new morning show. “The Daily Rundown With José Díaz Balart” premieres next Monday, November 17 from 9 to 11 am.

He takes over “The Daily Rundown” from Chuck Todd, who left to host “Meet the Press.” Since its inception in 2010, the show was just one hour long.

MSNBC opted to expand the length of the show to 2 hours and give José the starring role, adding an hour to his schedule. He has been anchoring the 10 am time slot at MSNBC since June of this year.

José will be anchoring the show from Miami, because he will continue his duties as anchor for Telemundo Network news and host of  “Enfoque,” the network’s weekly public affairs show.
