Piolín returns to radio

Eddie “Piolín” Sotelo is getting another shot at radio. Three months after “El Show de Piolín” was cancelled on Sirius XM, American General Media picked up  his new syndicated show for two of its stations.

Beginning in January of 2015, “El Show De Piolín” will air from 6 to 11 am weekday mornings on KLVO-FM, “Radio Lobo” 97.7/94.7 FM in Albuquerque and KBET “La Caliente,” 96.9 FM in Bakersfield, Calif.

Piolín’s journey the past year has been a rocky one. In September, Sirius XM axed his show after less than a year, citing both had “mutually agreed to end the relationship.”

Piolín joined Sirius after Univision abruptly pulled his show, amidst allegations of sexual harassment.

In March of this year, a judge threw out Eddie Sotelo’s extortion lawsuit against six of his former Univision Radio co-workers and in June, he ordered Eddie “Piolín” Sotelo to pay them more than $100,000 in legal fees.
