Hernandez named President of Slate

Keith_Hernandez-SlateKeith Hernandez has left his role as VP of Brand Strategy at Buzzfeed to take over as President of Slate.

In his new role, Hernandez is tasked with ramping up revenue strategy across advertising, marketing, and creative services with the goal to bring new global brands into the Slate fold. He’ll also look to activate new and existing clients across multiple platforms to tap into Slate’s audience through editorial content, video, podcasting, and custom programs.

He started the new job Monday, November 2.

Hernandez comes to Slate from BuzzFeed, where he led revenue and brand strategy efforts for teams in North America and Australia for the past 4 years.

He was previously Sales Director at Blip Networks. Before that, he held various sales positions at Vevo, Microsoft, and The Onion.
