Sandra Salazar

Salazar resigns from Telemundo 52

October 18, 2018 by Veronica Villafañe

Sandra Salazar has resigned to her position as assistant news director at KVEA Telemundo 52 in Los Angeles.

She had been in the role since June 2017.

Her official departure date is November 2, but she’ll be taking some time off leading to her exit from the station.

Salazar says she’d rather not share her reasons for leaving, but emphasized she has “gratitude and affection for NBCUniversal, as well as my colleagues and Telemundo friends. NBCUniversal is an excellent company and I will always be grateful for the support I got I needed it the most.”

For the time being, Salazar is staying put in Los Angeles. She says she has no immediate plans, but is open to new opportunities, whatever they may be, as long as she can continue to inform the Hispanic community.

“This profession is my passion,” she tells Media Moves. “I am and will always be a communicator.”

Prior to her move to L.A., Salazar was managing editor at KSTS Telemundo 48 in San Jose.
