Salazar hired as assistant news director at KMEX

December 13, 2018 by Veronica Villafañe

Former Telemundo news manager Sandra Salazar has lined up a new job with competitor Univision.

According to sources, she has been hired as as assistant news director at KMEX-34 and is scheduled to start at the station next week.

Salazar was previously assistant news director at KVEA Telemundo 52, also in Los Angeles. She resigned in October after a year in that role.

Prior to her move to L.A., Salazar was managing editor at KSTS Telemundo 48 in San Jose.

This marks Salazar’s return to Univision.

She previously worked as a news producer and reporter for KUVS 19 in Sacramento.
