Univision launches local morning newscasts in Texas

Univision is expanding local news production in Texas with the launch of three morning shows.

“Primera Edición DFW” in Dallas, “Noticias 45 Primera Hora” in Houston and “Primera Hora Texas Central,” airs on both San Antonio and Austin, will air from 5-7am CT Monday through Friday.

“Primera Edicion DFW” on KUVN Univision Dallas 23 is anchored by Johana Suárez and Miguelángel Piñero with Iriana Perez presenting weather, Cynthia Cano serving as a multi-media journalist and Angelina Armendáriz reporting on breaking news.

“Noticias 45 Primera Hora” on KXLN Univision Houston 45 is anchored by Karina Yapor and Nathaly Alcalá, along with reporter Gabriel Preciado.

“Primera Hora Texas Central,” which airs on both KWEX Univision San Antonio 41 and KAKW Univision Austin 62, is co-anchored by Myrna Salas, Francisco Paco Fuentes and Carime Hernández, with Prissila Sánchez as weather reporter and field reporters Sandy Marin in Austin and Jorge Ernesto Vinals in San Antonio.

The newscasts premiered in each market on March 11.
