Syrmarie Villalobos - Iris Delgado - Yaima Crespo

Syrmarie Villalobos moves to Telemundo DC, prompting anchor changes at Telemundo Philly

October 7, 2020 by Veronica Villafañe

Morning anchor Syrmarie Villalobos is leaving her post at WWSI Telemundo 62 in Philadelphia. She is moving to WZDC Telemundo 44 in Washington, D.C., where she will be afternoon anchor and reporter, filling a position open since 2019.

Her last day on air at Telemundo 62 is Friday, October 9. She’ll take a brief break and start in D.C. on October 26.

Villalobos arrived to Telemundo 62 for the launch of the station’s morning and noon newscasts in 2018.

As a result of her departure, Telemundo 62 today announced changes to its anchor lineup.

Iris Delgado will take over the weekday midday anchor for Al Mediodía, in addition to her current role as early evening newscast co-anchor, alongside Alberto Rullán.

Alondra Anaya will anchor the weekday morning news cut-ins and will continue her role as weather anchor on Al Mediodía.

Reporter Yaima Crespo will take over as host of the station’s weekly public affairs show “Enfoque,” which airs Sundays at 8 am and 6 pm.
