TEGNA promotes Kristie Gonzales to VP of Media Operations

March 26, 2021 by Veronica Villafañe

TEGNA has promoted Kristie Gonzales to VP of Media Operations.

She’ll continue to lead KVUE as president and general manager of the Austin station. But now, she’ll have the added responsibility of overseeing KYTX in Tyler, Texas.

She’ll also be tasked with helping “set the vision for recruiting across TEGNA’s 11 Texas markets.”

This is the first big promotion for Gonzales since she joined ABC affiliate KVUE in 2016.

Prior to KVUE, she was Promotion and Digital Brand Manager for WABC in New York.

Gonzales previously held various television management roles across the country, specializing in news branding and multi-cultural marketing, including Director of Creative Services and Local Programming at WTVD in North Carolina and Creative Services and Public Affairs Director at KFSN in Fresno.
