Eliecer Marte does English-language cross-over to News 12 Networks

January 24, 2023 by Veronica Villafañe 5 Comments

Reporter Eliecer Marte has left Telemundo New York for a chance to cross over into English-language reporting with News 12 Networks.

The Emmy-award winning journalist started last week as a general assignment reporter for New Jersey-based cable network, where he’ll also focus on special projects covering issues affecting the Hispanic community.

He’ll be working weekdays, reporting for all platforms, including the 24-7 streaming news channel News12 New York.

Marte previously worked at WNJU-Telemundo 47 as a general assignment reporter and weekend fill-in anchor.

Prior to joining Telemundo 47 in 2018, he worked at Univision Network, first as a NY Correspondent and later, in Miami. While at Univision, he reported for Network News, Primer Impacto, Despierta America and Sal Y Pimienta.

Before Univision, Marte was a NYC based correspondent for MundoFOX.

Since he was a child, he loves communication, dance and always play with his friends said he was a presenter. But the most important thing is that Eliecer was a good student and always was reading about everything. Great son and respectful. God bless him.

Tremendo talento. Una pérdida para el 47 pero muy bien por el.

Good for you Eliecer! You are talented, passionate and very pleasant to watch on TV. Great story teller and Not saying looks matter, but you have that as a plus as well. Go ahead and shine!

You were not going to grow anymore at WNJU. You did what you had to do and it was time to move on and spread your wings. You are a good guy and a great profesional. Best of luck!

Very truly proud of him…when he told me he wanted to do hard news, I told him, “it’s the best for you”—then, that he wanted to do it in English, “even better and you can do it”, was my response. Think about who you had this conversation with, one day at a Miami Beach, Elie…when we were both working at Univisión. You: Sal y Pimienta; me, the Noticiero. Éxitos siempre…lo mejor de corazón, te lo mereces!!!
