Elizabeth Valdés retires from Telemundo network

February 18, 2023 by Veronica Villafañe 1 Comment

Elizabeth Valdés is no longer with Telemundo.

A company spokesperson confirmed she has retired, after 10 years with the network.

Valdés, who was most recently VP of news gathering, joined Telemundo network in 2012, reuniting with several former Univision Network news colleagues.

A longtime news executive, she had previously spent 14 years as assignment manager for Noticias Univision. Before that, she worked as an executive producer for the now defunct CBS Telenoticias and Noticiero Telemundo.

She began her career at Univision Miami’s WLTV-23 as an assignment editor in 1985, working her way up to assignment manager, before getting promoted to news director in 1992.
