Elián Zidán named anchor of Univision network’s late newscast

December 4, 2023 by Veronica Villafañe

Univision has named Elián Zidán as the new co-anchor of its late night newscast “Edición Nocturna.”

He replaces León Krauze, who exited the company in mid-November.

Starting tonight, Zidán will co-anchor the 11:35 pm ET/PT newscast with Maity Interiano, who is also his sister-in-law.

Zidán was most recently an anchor on ViX’s Noticias Univision 24/7, where he hosted the 4 p.m. and the late-night edition newscasts.

He previously worked at the Univision 41 New York as an anchor for morning newscasts “Al Despertar” and “Edición Digital NY.”

He joined the NY station as an editor and digital reporter.

Prior to Univision, Zidán worked in production at ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

It’s already sorta viral in the Bizz that he is “family of a family of a relative” kinda thing.
Nothing to see here, which explains the moving from NY41 to Newsport.
And as for Mr. Leon K, we must remember that he did not exit, he was rather fired due leaking.
    We all know that here.

Unbelievable Hispanic television, the circles of friends like always , everything remains between the family, journalists without any relevant experience to present a national newscasts just because of the contacts. L Dpmnt should investigate those two companies that are dedicated to monopolizing all the positions in the two networks without leaving the opportunity for the real talented people . You needs to be a “friend” of the “managers” to get the job… Forget about working on the networks, everything has always been arranged so only friends from the same group… What a disgusting way to hire!! Just another hijo de papi…

Another white mexicanito anchoring UVN…I mean, it’s Televisa, of course. When will we see a Dominican or Puerto Rican morenito anchoring the morning, noon, afternoon or evening news at Telemundo or Univisión? Jamás…una discriminación total. Otro amiguito de los jefes subiendo por sus contactos. God bless them all.
