Palmira Perez

Palmira Pérez named Estrella TV network news anchor

August 3, 2021 by Veronica Villafañe

Palmira Pérez is Estrella Media’s new anchor for its national nightly news show “Noticiero EstrellaTV.”

She’ll also anchor the midday newscast for KRCA Los Angeles as well as “24 Horas,” which is part of Estrella News 24/7 streaming digital news network, available on multiple platforms, including Roku, Amazon and Pluto TV.

She started the new job on Monday, August 2.

Pérez was most recently a freelance anchor and reporter for Univision’s KMEX-Channel 34 in Los Angeles. She was previously anchor and reporter for Univision’s KDTV-Channel 14.  After spending two years in the San Francisco Bay Area, she resigned in 2019 to return to L.A.

Her past experience includes roles as national anchor for the now defunct Mundo Max network (which launched as MundoFox). Before that, she was a local news reporter at NBC-Telemundo-owned KWHY-Channel 22, which was later sold picked up as a Mundo Fox affiliate.

So sad to see people going to work to the worst tv station in the United States
Good luck Palmira you have no idea where are you getting into
Employees are abuse left and right pay is the worst and most of the time is minimum wage.
They have about 8 years with the same graphics look and they have a new set lol
Vp’s and managers are so so so bad that they need to stop smoking so maybe they can do there job
I was told long time ago that the station want to go to the next level and what happened they went back 3 level and is not a joke
Going from Univision to Estrella was the worst move she can ever made.
I understand maybe is because they offer her more money but if you are in LA working for the best network in the nation does this tell you something
    Sorry for you
Then they have Jose R. Anchoring cierre de Edición wow no wondering the rating when down more
The send Mirthala salinas to Texas before they let her go to do the dirty job lay off rosy Martel and telling her that she need to go back to Mexico or they will call immigration on her wow how nice from this call network Tv.
And that’s not all so many thing that they do to employees that they shouldn’t even be broadcasting
One of them is they tell producer to still videos from other station to put them on air because they don’t have the sources to get them
    Laying is there first priority
    Abuse is there second
    And minimum wage third
Feel so sorry for all the employees the need a job and they have work at this place
I can said more but is not going to change anything
Good luck to all of you Estrella employees

There is always a place where they recycle news anchors.
Is about time that tv station put all of this old anchors out of the way and let new people in
Of course will never happen because of interest.
And bad management specially in Estrella Tv.

Wow, i stopped watching the news in Univision 14 in San Francisco long time ago and when Palmira got there no way! she was so egocentric and hardly ever smiled. To be in front of cameras, you have to show your best face and be a truly professional in every way.
