Fox Weather adds Marissa Torres ahead of launch

Marissa Torres is joining Fox Weather as a co-anchor on the new streaming platform, set to launch on Monday, October 25.

She arrives from Nexstar’s WPIX-TV in New York, where she has worked since 2014, forecasting early morning weather and traffic. She was later upped to co-anchor of PIX11’s morning news program.

Torres was previously morning anchor at KOAA-TV, the NBC affiliate in Colorado Springs. From 2011–2012, she was a reporter and anchor at NBC affiliate KOB-TV in Albuquerque.

Before that, she was a reporter at CBS affiliate WCIA-TV in Champaign, IL.

Fox Weather previously announced the hires of Nicole Valdes as a field correspondent and and Craig Herrera as a co-anchor of key programming blocks.
