Ana Patricia Candiani joins Univision 41 team as an anchor

June 2, 2022 by Veronica Villafañe 4 Comments

Ana Patricia Candiani is joining Univision 41 New York as an anchor for the station’s weekday 5-6 am morning show “Al Despertar” and 12:30 pm newscast “Edición Digital.”

She’ll be co-anchoring both shows with Rafael Bello, who has been doing the job solo since December 2021.

Candiani’s on-air debut is June 13.

She makes the move from Los Angeles, where she had been based for more than a decade.

Candiani was KVEA Telemundo 52’s main anchor from January 2011 until August 2020, when the station laid her off as part of a series of nation-wide cuts.

Earlier this year, she joined local news station startup Visión Latina as an anchor.

Before her move to L.A., she spent almost three years as a freelance journalist for Univisión and CNN en Español.

Candiani was previously a news anchor and reporter for Telemundo Network. Her past experience also includes roles as anchor for now defunct Radio Unica and CBS Telenoticias.

Wow didn’t think she would make the cross-country east. Congrats Ms. Candiani all the best.

What a big loss for Telemundo and good acquisition for Univision.
Ana Patricia has the best voice in news and she was an awesome news presenter when she worked in the network. I’m glad to see that she’s back, now in NY. Best wishes!
