Lourdes Stephen - Jessica Carrillo

Lourdes Stephen starts run as Jessica Carrillo’s co-anchor on “Al Rojo Vivo”

August 19, 2022 by Veronica Villafañe

Former Univision personality Lourdes Stephen will make her on-air debut as Jessica Carrillo’s co-anchor on Telemundo’s Al Rojo Vivo beginning Monday, August 22.

Stephen spent 15 years at rival Univision, starting as a New York City correspondent. After relocating to Miami, she co-hosted Primer Impacto and entertainment and gossip show Sal y Pimienta from 2011 until its cancellation in 2017. She also hosted morning show segment Sin Rollo until her ouster from Univision in 2018.

During her time at the network she was also a Spanish-language commentator for the Rose Parade.

Stephen is native of the Dominican Republic.

Telemundo Network’s long-running afternoon newsmagazine has undergone a series of changes in recent years. Most notably, the August 2020 exit of María Celeste Arrarás, who had been the founding host since 2002.

The show was revamped and Carrillo replaced Arrarás in October 2020.
